Utility Service Group (USG), Aqualogy’s company in the United States, has been awarded a contract for the management of TRS (Trihalomethane Removal Systems) in three of the main drinking water tanks which supply the city of Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania), as determined by the Water and Sewer Authority of this American city.
The contract obtained foresees the initial design, installation and management of the three TRS with the aim of reducing the percentage of trihalomethanes on leaving the three tanks, each of which has a capacity of 5 million gallons (18,927 cubic metres). The project will begin immediately and will be in operation within a period of 120 days.
