From 15 to 17 November, Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue will hold four international events focused on sustainable development: Iwater, the international water cycle fair; Smart City Expo World Congress, on the development of smart cities; Circular Economy Summit, for the application of a new economic model; and European Utility Week, centred on better energy management. These events, which form part of the so-called sustainability week, were presented at an informative breakfast.
In particular, Iwater will tackle resilience, governance and financing as the three major axes that will make it possible to progress with water management. In the words of Angel Simón, President of Iwater, this forum "will be the ideal space to vindicate the notion of the ‘true value of water’, as a basic element for society to function and an essential economic actor for sustainable growth".
The Iwater fair will be divided primarily into three spaces: the forum, which will host talks by over 80 national and international experts; the hubs, innovation and technology spaces; and the stand area, with more than 120 exhibitors presenting products and solutions, including SUEZ (stand D410), Agbar (stand D411) and Aigües de Barcelona (stand D411). Parallel to this, SUEZ will also be present at Smart City Expo, both in the exhibitor area (stand E571) and with various talks.
The informative breakfast was also attended by Fira de Barcelona’s Director of In-House Business, Salvador Tasqué; the Director of Smart City Expo World Congress and of the Circular Economy European Summit, Ugo Valenti; and the Director of Iwater, Delphine Romeu.
